Priya - I love when there's synchronicity like that - and the right message finds you at exactly the right moment. So glad these landed when you needed them! ❤️
Number 5 hits home for me. Just bought the book on kindle. Oh the things I wish I did and said before I left my mom before she passed. Thank you for reminder. Got to stop wasting this valuable time.
Oh Stephanie, my heart. ❤️ Please know... your mom knows you loved her - and she'd want you to stop carrying that weight and start living fully. That's exactly why I wrote the book. Sending you love.
Karen. I would also add creating your future Memory Basket of special memories to look back on when you are elderly or disabled and cannot do very much yourself. (C/o my beloved late mother, Betty Panasiuk nee Snooks). Xxxx
Lucy, your mom Betty sounds like she was incredibly wise! A Memory Basket - I LOVE that concept. What a beautiful way to be intentional about creating moments we'll treasure later. Thank you for sharing that gem!
I am so very glad if it is helpful to any of your followers Karen. It helped a lovely lady in her 30s from The Cameroon who had severe PTSD after seeing her husband and father murdered in cold blood, and she was treated like an animal and gang raped by the enemy faction. Luckily her mother rescued the 3 children and took them to safety. Well after about 3 years in the UK (long story), my mum was in an acute hospital in Leicester and this lady went to see her. At one point my mum said to the lady, why did you not give your children a little party, a birthday cake, and a card and a present, and ask some of their friends to play or do some party games with them? Such things you would remember so fondly and joyfully as special memories to fill your memory basket with. These you will be so glad of to recall and see,/feel the joy and happiness of the children in your heart soul and mind. That lady never ever forgot this ever again and made every birthday special for the rest of their lives. Xxxx
Number 23 is my first choice although, they're ALL good ones! The sum of the whole list is LIVE YOUR LIFE, don't stagnate, procrastinate, live with regret or hold grudges. You're running out of the precious time you have left to have fun, laugh, do crazy things and celebrate LIFE itself!
#10 - At my age of 86, that’s increasingly possible. And when I read #21 I realize I am SO grateful that I’ve lived boldly!!! Passion for the things and people who matter to me - from jazz to meditation, from numerology to the NYTimes Spelling Bee, have kept me alert and invigorated all this time- and grateful for it all. Of course I’m loving your fabulous book, Karen!!💥
Hey Sherle! YOU are living life in the way I aspire to and hope to inspire others to! Love that you're 86 and still passionate about jazz, meditation, AND the spelling bee too! You're my hero! This is exactly what I mean about living boldly. Thank you for consistently being such a beautiful example! And thanks for your kind words about my book too! ❤️
Kitty! Yes! I need to remind myself of that one often - all too often we can find ourselves walking around thinking we're the epilogue when we're really still in Chapter 3.... with the best parts not even written yet! ❤️
#19 resonates with me. While reading (and listening to) your book "Your to-die-for Life" lots of regrets and failed attempts at forgiving myself. Thank you.
Oh Mandi, the self-forgiveness piece is so hard. But... I gotta say... the fact that you picked up my book and committed to doing the work in it - that is beautiful... so be gentle with yourself ...you're exactly where you need to be...and doing what you need to do to aim youself at where you want to go. xo
Thank you again Karen for all your insights! Pretty much all of it hit home for me! A lot of it is stuff I often say to other people but do we ever first take our own advice. Lol! I really looking forward to reading your new book! Peace & love to all our brothers and sisters struggling to find there way! Trust the process and read Karen’s work(I mean it! It always comes at the right time)
Jessica! So glad these reminders landed for you. Thanks for this thoughtful note & your support for my writing......and.... excited for you to read my book! xoxo
Ah yes, #17 - the beautiful mess of "wrong" relationships that teach us everything we need to know. Funny how that works, right? Been there/dated that myself! ❤️Thanks for reading & happy these resonated!
Hi Cherie! Happy these inspired - maybe text them to yourself - as if your Future Self texted you - then keep them in your phone to look at when you need them!
Love so many of these. This one is especially perfect for me right now: "The right time never comes. The time you have NOW is the right time. (Also, when you’re anxious, just dance more.)"
Some hard hitters! Almost like these Truths were supposed to find me exactly now! Thanks

You're inside a much larger story that's still being written.

Thoughtful and thought-provoking. Also difficult to choose but #17 resonated with me
Ah yes, #17 - the beautiful mess of "wrong" relationships that teach us everything we need to know. Funny how that works, right? Been there/dated that myself! ❤️Thanks for reading & happy these resonated!
Love them all. But #10 resonates with me most right now. xo
Danni, ugh yes #10 is one I need to focus on #10 right now too - and prioritize doing this over some of the busy stuff I can get caught up in! ❤️❤️❤️
No fair! They’re all wonderful so don’t make me choose lol ❤️
Haha! ....yesss....totally unfair to make you pick just one!.... ❤️Thanks for all the love!
Thanks for this! I especially needed to hear #5 and #24 today.
Hi Cherie! Happy these inspired - maybe text them to yourself - as if your Future Self texted you - then keep them in your phone to look at when you need them!
#25 really hits home, as I'm 82 years old. But any on that list are so good!!
